Raising grass fed beef for the local market begins with the breeding. All of the breeds we’ve selected are best suited for the environment that we created for them. We believe that happy, content animals produce the most flavorful, nutrient-dense, humanely-raised and harvested meat. After much research, we chose Scottish Highlands crossed with Belted Galloways with some Angus mixed in.
Our beef are raised humanely and are free to roam the woods and fields. Healthy grass and hay fed beef from Hidden Springs Farm yields the tastiest and most healthful beef around. We bring natural, fresh beef products from our Farm to your table. If you have not tasted our healthful, hormone-free beef, you owe it to your family to try locally sourced beef products. Over the past decade, the family converted the property’s forest into fields for our animals. Our beef cattle frolic freely in our fields, which we carefully developed for rotational grazing.

Our beef cattle are not too big; half a carcass is between 200-250 lb, whole carcass is 300-400 lbs . They take 6-8 months to age to maturity.
